Most of the time, nothing is wrong with your website. Your browser is simply showing you a saved, older version of the page. This is called cached content.
Here is what that means, when you should clear your cache, and exactly how to do it on desktop and mobile.
What is browser cache?
Your browser saves parts of websites, such as images, styles and scripts, on your device. This is called the cache.
It does this to make websites load faster the next time you visit them. Instead of downloading everything again, it reuses what it already has saved.
That is great for speed. It is not so great when:
- You have just updated your website
- We have deployed design changes
- A form has been fixed
- A page layout has changed
- Something looks broken or out of date
When should you clear your cache?
You should clear it when:
- You can’t see recent changes to your website
- A page looks strange or broken
- You’re having login issues
- A website isn’t loading properly
- You’re troubleshooting with our team

A quick note on performance and storage
Cache helps websites load faster. Occasionally clearing cached files can free up storage and resolve odd performance issues, especially on mobile devices.
